Bluebird Replica

The Bluebird arrived in Dumbleyung on the eve of the 50th celebrations of Donald Campbell’s World Water Speed achievement in 1964. A huge celebratory event was held with many people, even some of Donald Campbell’s original team members from Barmara in South Australia, where Donald Campbell attempted the record earlier, returning to the town.

 "The Shire of Dumbleyung acknowledges the traditional owners of the land, the Wilmen people, and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this Shire and this region."
