The Bluebird arrived in Dumbleyung on the eve of the 50th celebrations of Donald Campbell’s World Water Speed achievement in 1964. A huge celebratory event was held with many people, even some of Donald Campbell’s original team members from Barmara in South Australia, where Donald Campbell attempted the record earlier, returning to the town.
